HOW THE LIVE SOFTWARE WORKS We produce software that monitors transactions occurring across the Totalisor Administration Boards (TAB's) around the country. The theory behind this type of software is that the "smart money", "late money", "professional money" - call it what you like - is wagered on these events relatively close to start time and we simply monitor where these transactions are occurring. But late money isn't the only "smart money" that can be placed! Quite often, large bets will happen early on in the betting as well. This notion is simple to understand. Someone places this money early, therefore decreasing the dividend in the runner (at the time), but as start time approaches this runner will begin moving out or "blowing out" in the market. Thus the bettor is trying to increase their final dividend and ultimate bottom line. As a result, the "late money" or "plunge" will not be able to see this and is rendered useless in this circumstance. Because our software tracks EVERY DOLLAR from the open of betting, you CAN see this. So what's the end result? - the ability to pick out unusual anomalies across the TAB's and a user can get an insight into the inner workings of an event before it actually starts.
